Strategic nuclear submarines and full scale nuclear strike

Some key questions that are also useful to understand what happened with the "Kursk".

Why are the Barents Sea (Murmansk, Kola peninsula), the Sea of Japan (Petropavlovsk, Kamchatka peninsula), besides Yugoslavia and Chechnya/Georgia, the key battleground of the ongoing war ?
Because that's where the Russian strategic submarines bases are located.

Does the Pentagon believe that the US strategic submarines can't be detected and systematically followed by Russian subs ?
Yes.

Does the Russian leadership believe that the russian strategic submarines can't be detected and systematically followed by US subs ? No.

What is the Russian reaction to that ?
Keep the strategic submarines near their bases, where they can escape to sancturies protected by mines and surface vessels.

What is the US reaction to that ?
Use aircraft carriers to (threaten to) destroy those russian naval bases.

What is the goal of the Oscar-II tactical submarines (why do they carry 24 missiles with a 380 mile range) ?
To destroy those aircraft carriers.

What is the US reaction to that ?
Submarines to detect the Oscar-II subs.

What kind of combat are both of these submarine types engaged at, right now ?
Combat in total darkness. A collision with a US submarine is almost certainly the cause of the "Kursk" tragedy.

Is it plausible that the US would be concealing such an event ?
Absolutely. We are living in an Orwellian society. Western media is totally controlled and the masses have reached zombie status. The situation in Russia is quite different, as the current headlines of Russian and Western media show.

Can a deliberate attack be ruled out ?
No. The situation is getting desperate for the US administration. The fairy tale can't be told much longer. This could be again the "Chinese embassy" attack tactic (bolgrade, May 1999). Even if Russia, unlike Chine, has nuclear deterrent capability.

Feb 13, 2001 - "For us it is absolutely clear that a torpedo took part in the catastrophe from the very beginning. Either an outside influence on a torpedo led to the catastrophe, or some kind of processes developed inside a torpedo," Deputy Prime Minister Ilia Klebanov said.
In no way Klebanov dismisses a collision or a deliberate attack. But western media reports this as "Russia admits Kursk sank by own torpedo". Some of it, like the free newspapers that are now distributed in major european cities, plainly falsified the headlines - an example "Kursk destroyed by its own defect torpedoes".

By the way. recent collision with a Japanese boat shows that American subs sensors are not that perfect, specially on close range. Of course to cover this, the media staged this time a ridiculous story of civilians being responsible for the collision ...

Oct. 25, 2001 - The Kursk is one of the best examples to understand the script of the final days of this system, that lasted thousands of years. No doubt the best title is "the emperor's new clothes", as in the story by Hans Christian Andersen. 
Now the Kursk is on the dry dock. The first bodies of the heroes that died for our freedom have been recovered. Now everyone can see what the Russian military leaders know ever since August 2000 : the Kursk was attacked with a torpedo. And yet nobody states it. Like in all the recent cases where exposing the truth could trigger nuclear holocaust, Russia also avoids stating the facts.
Western mass media, totally desperate, spreads now  the ultimate lie. As Novosti comments  today : "The Kremlin information board is perplexed by an article carried in the recent issue of the German magazine Der Spiegel (THE "serious" political magazine in Germany). It writes that the Kremlin is considering a version that the Kursk nuclear-powered submarine could have been sent to the bottom by a missile fired from the Petr Veliki cruiser."

February 7, 2003 - the conspirators stage the controversy on the attack to Iraq, but the REAL move is the deployment of nuclear warheads in Turkey, using the "patriot" cover-up. The anouncement of the "iminent" attack to Iraq by the media for more than a year now is used to hide the repetition of the Turkey scenario from 1962 known as  Cuba crisis.
