Media control in Russia vs. Media control in the West
Russian media
Front pages of some major daily Russian newspapers, Aug. 17.
Coverage of the Kursk nuclear submarine in Moscow
Headlines are "Whose honor is sinking in the Barents Sea ?", "Admirals
ambitions kill submariners", etc.
Most of these newspapers are owned by Gusinsky and Beresovsky, the
two agents that were financed by the international
bankers to take control of russian mass media, after the fall of comunism
(in the other eastern european countries the western media corporations
didn't need agents, they just bought the existing media).
The daily Izvestia : "the Kursk disaster had once again proved that
the Russian state is incapable of dealing with crisis situations". This
is a milder form of propagating the key message of the western press
(CNN: "Accident typifies plight of Russian military"). The western media,
like always, conceals and falsifies the key official Russian statements
( Defence Minister Sergeiev : "collision is most probable cause").
Gusinsky's Komsomolskaya Pravda (in bold red type: "Why has the president
been silent?"), Beresovsky's Kommersant ("Putin saw no political
dividends to reap in the unfolding tragedy and preferred to stay away from
the limelight") & Co. continue to spread lies and disinformation on
all the key issues, including the war in Chechnya, where 3000 russian soldiers
sacrified their lives for the survival of Russia, fighting the international
terrorism and the "jihad". These are the "independent" sources that western
media refer to.
Western media
Front pages of some major western media, Aug. 17.
Coverage of the US presidential elections
It's getting always more difficult for the media to stage "democracy".
The comedy reaches now grotesque levels. It only can continue due to the
fact that the masses have reached zombie status. The media
censors and portrays Pat Buchanan as an extremist
mentions relentlessly the best shape ever of the US economy, (while the
the U.S. trade deficit rises to a record high of $30.6 billion, according
to Department of Commerce's June report)
presents the two actors that were nominated this time to play the main
roles, George W. Bush and Al Gore, as the only choice,
diverts from the fact that there's not a single key issue where the candidates
have a different position,
presents Liebermann, who voted against the Clinton impeachment, as the
first Democrat to criticise Clinton on the Lewsinky case, trying to limit
the damage caused by the hate the large majority of Americans has towards
anything connected with Clinton
while the other western mass media presents "Clinton's success" as the
reason for the disarray of Gore ...
