For those of you not from the US who have to listen to the idiotic comments SOME US citizens have made here (not all) I apologize. We usually call those idiots "Freepers" and they are the ones who adamantly support Pseudo-President Bush. We apologize for that guy as well.
Please remember not all Americans are like that. It is popular to categorize all of us as insensitive, ignorant, loud-mouthed buffoons (and in many cases that is a correct assessment) but some of us are not.
This is a horrible, senseless tragedy and I think future protests will be even larger and sadly, more violent.
This aside, There seem to be quite a number of people there who cannot draw a distinction between the right to express themselves in protest peacefully and some sort of imagined right to break and burn things that do not belong to them, and attack the cops with the obvious intent to injure or kill them.
Is there anyone who believes that this kid would be dead today if he'd stood on the sidewalk with a sign, shouting slogans at the top of his lungs, instead of attacking the cops?

What it looks like to me is: the jeep was up against a concrete block, so it couldn't go forward. The crowd was assaulting it, and this young man ran up with a fire extinguisher behind it and was shot. He fell, and the jeep backed over him as it escaped, since the block prevented it from going forward. Whether or not the driver knew he was there is a question. It appears from the photos that the man had a dark sweatshirt tied around his waist, the lighter-colored inner surface of which was visible in the first photo. Some time after he was lying there dead, someone pulled it up around his torso so that it appears that he's wearing it. You can see that his arms aren't in the sleeves. I see nothing fake about this at all.

If you check the white spots on the pavement and the position of the man's left leg, it's clear that the body has been moved in that photo. Also note the the t-shirt pulled up. All of this indicates that you are correct - the last photo was taken some time after the rest, and someone came along and put the jacket over him in the interim.

First of all I can't figure out what sequence you are refering to. The Yahoo Sequence? The sequnce posted here?
Secondly from what I can gather what you refer to as picture 3 is actually picture 12 (Yahoo). He's on the ground and someone has taken the jacket he was wearing around his waist and put it over his chest.
Next, what you call pictures 10 and 11 are aparently 9 and 10(Yahoo).
There is NO DISCREPENCY IN THESE PHOTOS REGARDING GLASS IN THE REAR WINDOW!
Rather it is your >perception< of glass. You are looking through the vehicle at an angle. visible are the police inside as well as the SIDE WINDOWS!
You are mistaking the side glass ( and the position of people and thing inside the vehicle) as being the rear window glass.
At best it is an illusion. At worst you are taking us all as fools, and that my friend is getting my dander up.

1. To me it looks that his arms are in the sleeves.
2. Your story is as credible as the assumptions you have to resort
to : the dark sweatshirt has a lighter-colored inner surface; why would
somebody think about /be allowed to pull it up around his torso ? The reaction
you would expect from the police was to keep the rest of the crowd away
from the body.
BTW, we only hear about the testimony of the REUTERS photograph. What
about the other people that are on the photos ? Why was being spread out
that the dead was Spanish ? Only at midnight (Italian time) the Italian
television revealed it was a genovese.

When I was a TV cameraman, I covered many riots, including the Watts riot in ’65 and the Chicago convention riots in ’68. This entire photo sequence with the Land Rover probably took place in less than a minute, and maybe in less than :45 seconds. There would have been lots of yelling noise, both inside and outside the vehicle. The cops would have been very scared, and the rioters would have been hopped up on adrenaline. The Land Rover looks like it is in the process of turning around. It probably drove toward the mob, then when attacked, the driver tried to turn it around. He apparently didn’t know a rioter was down, and he backed over him by accident.
It looks to me like the rear window of the Land Rover 90 was broken when someone else first through the fire extinguisher through it (in my first photo in post 7 above). A right rear window is in the process of being broken in that same photo.
In the second photo in my sequence above, the guy in the white shirt (who was shot) has picked up the fire extinguisher and is about to throw it into the back window of the Land Rover. The cop probably waved the gun at him for a couple of seconds, then fired when the guy started to throw the fire extinguisher.
As a matter of perspective, about 15 years ago, two British cops were attacked in a vehicle like this, in Northern Ireland. Both had guns, but they never fired. The mob attacked their car, broke all the windows, knocked out the cops with stones and boards, pulled them out of the car. Someone in the mob took one of their guns and shot and killed one of the cops, and the mob beat the other one to death. I saw the photo sequence of that event as it was published in the Paris Match.
The guy is not “wearing a jacket” in that one photo. He had the jacket tied around his waist. In the one photo, it looks to me like someone has pulled up that jacket and draped it over his chest.

That is not “glass” you see. That is light gray background you are seeing through the rear window, in back of the cop, who is dressed in black.

I take back my commenbts about Milosevic2 and this post! Milosevic2 is right! Look at the top photo posted by Fred25 in post#7. The glass is broken out of the right, top corner of the back windshield. Now look at the bottom photo, after the jeep has backed over the shot man. The top, right corner suddenly has the glass back in it. I am getting worried - I'm agreeing with Milosevic2!
