On the 92th anniversary of Sister Lucy - March 23, 1999
«82 years ago, Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Fatima, as she would be called,
asked the three children of Cova da Iria, several things - prayers, penance
and to act with sacrifice and repentance.
In Her message, Our Lady of Fatima made some prophecies, among which
the conversion of Russia to the catholic faith. But the "third secret"
- handwritten by Lucy - is still not known.»

What the "DN" does not tell : the history of the Third Secret.
From "SALVIFICI DOLORIS " by THE POPE JOHN PAUL II (1984)
One thinks, finally, of war. I speak of this in a particular way. I speak
of the last two World Wars, the second of which brought with it a much
greater harvest of death and a much heavier burden of human sufferings.
The second half of our century, in its turn, brings with it—as though
in proportion to the mistakes and transgressions of our contemporary civilization—such
a horrible threat of nuclear war that we cannot think of this period
except in terms of an incomparable accumulation of sufferings, even to
the possible self-destruction of humanity. In this way, that world
of suffering which in brief has its subject in each human being, seems
in our age to be transformed—perhaps more than at any other moment—into
a special world: the world which as never before has been transformed by
progress through man's work and, at the same time, is as never before in
danger because of man's mistakes and offences.
Fatima, apostasy and the catholic religion - October 1998
«... the catholic religion has almost ceased to exist in the world,
and especially in Europe.

The Vatican: resorting to force is " always a defeat for humanity " - March
24, 1999
VATICAN (AFP) - resorting to force is " always a defeat for Mankind", commented
on Wednesday evening the spokesman of the Vatican, Joaquin Navarro, short
after the first strike of NATO against Yugoslavia. " One cannot not think
of the possible victims and the feelings of hate which inevitably will
emerge ", he added. " Nothing is lost with peace, all can be lost with
war ", concluded Mr. Navarro by evoking the words from pope Pius
XII, on August 24, 1939, as the Second World War started. John Paul II
had called on Wednesday morning for " the gift of peace " for Kosovo and
for Europe while addressing twenty thousand pilgrims at the weekly general
audience at Saint Peter Square. " I address a special prayer to God, Father
of Mercy, so that He gives us the gift of Peace, which especially Kosovo
and Europe need so much today", the Pope declared.

Some of the first results after 78 days of bombing Serbia - June 17, 1999
MITROVICA, Serbia (Reuters) - A Serb monastery has been ransacked and its
nuns attacked, with Kosovo Liberation Army fighters implicated in the incident,
a French army officer said on Thursday. A French patrol was dispatched
to a small religious community in the mountains close to this northern
Kosovo town after a nun said that she had not heard from the Devic monastery
for two or three days. ``The monastery had been stripped bare,'' the French
officer said, declining to be named. ``We found a priest and nine nuns.
He had been beaten and the nuns abused. The youngest and prettiest nun
was in tears, collapsed in a chair. We think she had been molested,'' he
said. French soldiers later saw four armed men wearing KLA insignia arrive
in a car. ``When they saw us, they stopped a while, shouted 'NATO', 'NATO'
and then beat a hasty retreat,'' the officer said.
Fire in Los Alamos
Pope in Fatima, first children beatified, fire in Los Alamos
God is the creator of all forms of life. God gives total freedom to each
one on his or her decisions. But God decides everything else, what we call
destiny. God decided, that May 13, 1917, the events of Fatima would take
place.
God decided, that May 13, 1981, that bullet should not kill John Paul
II.
God decided that it should still possible for the Pope to come to Fatima
one last time, May 13, 2000, for the catholic church for the first time
to beatify children at the place where punishment was announced, as fire
surrounds the place where the first atomic bomb was born, at Los Alamos.
